Salesforce renamed Nonprofit Cloud to Agentforce Nonprofit in December 2025. What actually changed
Nothing about the product itself. Agentforce Nonprofit is Nonprofit Cloud — the same Person Account data model, the same native fundraising and program-management objects, the same architecture. What changed is the name Salesforce puts on it, as part of a broader push to fold its nonprofit offerings under the "Agentforce" AI branding umbrella. If you already have a Nonprofit Cloud org, you have an Agentforce Nonprofit org — no migration, no action required from the rename itself.
Salesforce's Power of Us program transitioned in the same window: new nonprofits joining the program are now provisioned onto Agentforce Nonprofit by default, where previously NPSP was the standard starting point.
Why there are three similar names
This is where most of the confusion actually comes from, and it's a fair thing to be confused by — the terms aren't applied consistently even in Salesforce's own materials:
- Agentforce Nonprofit — the renamed Nonprofit Cloud platform itself.
- Agentforce for Nonprofits — generally used for the AI-agent capabilities built into that platform: donor engagement, program and case support, staff assistance.
- Agentforce 360 for Nonprofits — Salesforce's umbrella branding for its full nonprofit solution suite, of which the platform and its AI agents are both a part.
In practice you'll see these used loosely and sometimes interchangeably in vendor decks, partner marketing and even Salesforce's own release notes. If a term doesn't match what you expected, that's the ecosystem's naming, not a gap in your understanding.
What this means if you're on NPSP
Practically, nothing changes today. NPSP keeps running, keeps getting security patches, and gets no new features — exactly the situation described in the NPSP feature-freeze explainer. What the rename does is make the destination clearer if you're evaluating a move: when you compare NPSP vs Nonprofit Cloud going forward, expect the "Nonprofit Cloud" side of that comparison to increasingly be labeled "Agentforce Nonprofit" in vendor materials, RFPs, and Salesforce's own documentation. The underlying migration timeline and cost are unaffected — you're scoping the same move, just under an updated name.
